BYC Café

1 migraine pill didn't touch the pain and that's all I can take for 24 hours, so I chased it with some ibuprofen and another hot shower with the stream on narrow to massage my head for half an hour. I am currently pain free. Triptans just don't seem to work for me.
Sorry you are a sufferer too. Luckily I seem to have less migraines as I get older. Maybe I killed off brain cells in my youth?

I feel weird and awkward jumping in after almost 50k replies, but can I come to the cafe? I used to be really active on BYP, then I took a break for a few years. Most of my old friends on here have moved on. I'm trying to find my new niche.
I'm Lacey.
Welcome Lacey, pull up a chair and have a beverage!

On the chicken front, the girls I have been taking to swaps and not selling are starting to lay. People don't want to pay $35 for a pullet even if it is a Crested Cream Legbar. I guess I will have to cut the price if I want to get that space back. People are used to paying $8 or 10 bucks for mutt layers . Whatever.

I have the same problem with pheasants, Cap. No one want's to pay ya what they are worth...I don't think most peeps understand all the work, time, and feed that's put into the birds. And with my pheasants, everyone wants a 2 year old bird at a chick price.

Yeah, it makes me sick. If I wanted to hang onto them until September I could get my price at Glen Allen swap. But I have lots of grow outs in breeds that interest me more, so I need the space.

I'm sitting on the patio listening to the roosters crow...their little voices are cracking like teenage boys, so cute. I bet the neighbors are getting sick of it though...they're 14 weeks now. We're going to have to get serious about doing the deed soon, although I was hoping to wait a few more weeks to let them get a little bigger. I don't know though, they're fighting as boys do and won't let the littlest dood roost at night.

I keep telling myself I should cull the boys at hatch, but it seems so heartless. They keep hubby awake listening to them. They are hard to get homes for too. I am a sucker.
