I fell in the barn the other day and my knee landed on a nest box. Nice bruise.

I picked up a nice one of those today when I slid down a bank looking for Myth, the missing hen. Must have gone 5 yards on my left hip.

Thank you Ron and Cap. More confused by the fact that I gave her 5 or 6 eggs from different hens and she appeared to hatch only her own single.

Sorry to hear about your hen, Margie! Glad she didn't go to waste.

I hope you find Myth, @Shadrach ! Having to run about in 104 degrees sounds like a real bummer.

I'm a bit short on padding.
I find it very difficult to put weight on.
I'm 5' 8" and 152 lbs and don't carry any fat.

My main worry about the Goshawk on this side of the land is this.

Or, rather Ruffles the mum who is unlikely to take cover and put up a fight. She's over 7 years old and I would rather lose the chick.
