The Bobcats were in here thick as thieves for about 5 days and now they seem to have moved on.  Works for me.   Took my DGD sledding again, she is starting to like it.  Yesterday was a bit cold, but today, we got some giggles and yes head-bobs.  My younger-older hens are starting to lay again as well as some new pullets.  I love fresh eggs!    And hot coffee!
Went down to the neighbor's place and restocked the close in wood stash for them, drank a couple of cups and solved some world issues and watched football with them.  Couple of hours well spent on a cold Sunday.

Do they have open season on Bobcats?  Somebody would have a clear shot at all of  them.

Yes there is a Bobcat season (apparently their hide is worth a lot of money) But the season is also very short. I am not sure when it is, we have never tried hunting them. I know there are a couple roaming down here, but they are not yet much of a nuisance.

I don't know of many predators, that are good for eating.

in fact about the onliest ones I've heard that was good, was bear....

my brother traps them just for the pelts....but they are edible...people in the northern reaches eat bobcat and lynx both.
