Good morning Café - beautiful autumn morning following an all day rain yesterday. Rain was needed.

My weather report is identical to @sourland , which should not be too surprising considering our proximity to each other in the weather patterns in the northeast.

I tried yet again to get that plate compactor yesterday and was denied! I was perfectly willing to work in the downpour. The rental company was not perfectly willing for their equipment to accompany me. I'm sure it would have been fine.

So I shifted my schedule and will do the compacting today and finish the walkway tomorrow. There is now just the problem of finding someone to help me get it out of the truck and back in when I am done...

That rental company sounds like a real pain in the arse, DL. You can't rent equipment when it's raining? They wouldn't make it very long around here...

They weren't kidding about the wind yesterday! Man alive, it was whippin'. Supposed to be 65mph gusts Friday with up to 75mph gusts along the Rocky Mountain front. They are saying 65°, though. Woke up to about an inch of snow this morning after the rain we had yesterday. Luckily it was warm enough that it wasn't slick...yet.

Those 60+ mph winds are what I was driving home through yesterday...no fun!

Sounds like that inch of snow will probably be gone soon. I'm sure you'll get enough to make up for that yet this winter

We have a wind and dry conditions for fire danger starting tonight into late Thursday. PGE is talking about cutting power to parts of 17 counties again too.

I have not gotten a notice so we are not on the list thank goodness!
