@penny1960 you have graves? Do you have thyroid eye disease too?

What treatments do you take for it?

@CapricornFarm thanks for telling me this because I've never honestly talked to somebody that actually has this disease!!! Now I'm kind of excited
She does have eye issues, can't drive any more.

I have to say that my husband said he's getting fat... I don't see it, but he does. He says it's because I cook so good. I told him to lay off the quesadillas :gigHe said no...

:lau :gig :lau

I probably will be with all this ice cream lol

And I wish someone would cook for me. :hit I’m hungry. :hit

You know he isn't going to give up his quesadillas...those are his medicine :lau
I seriously think that there's drugs in the quesadillas that I make :gigIf he could eat them everyday he would. The tortilla shells were supposed to be for me! they are low sodium ones that I found at the grocery store and he has completely eaten three packages of them in the past 3 weeks

And it's a long story by I actually have pulmonary hypertension too, it's a very rare disease. I actually have a Hickman line that goes into my chest that gives me IV medication called Veletri. I don't really speak about it because I don't see myself any different as a normal person and I see the positive in everything.

Having these diseases has truly made me realize how precious life is and how precious treating your body is. Everything that goes in your body affects it.

You can see my Hickman line in this picture.

My world was literally crushed 10 years ago when I got diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Then I got diagnosed with graves' disease... Then with thyroid eye disease...

I usually hate talking about this because I don't want to be treated differently or people to pity me because I don't want a pity party. I have fought every single day for 10 years and I want other people to see this and be inspired by it.

My hair is probably twice as long now, but this was the only picture I could find where my Hickman line was showing.

Well, good for you! :highfive:
Everyone has their story and this is part of yours.
Seeing the silver lining on the many dark clouds that have been in life have kept my sanity. But I am thankful every day that I am generally very healthy.

I just shared some of my story, this is probably the first time that I've opened up to people that I don't know personally (face to face).

:hugs :hugs :hugs

:lau OMG lol

Hopefully he’s eating some veggies with that too!! Lol

I'm probably 20 lbs lighter than that picture too. I've been trying to eat insanely healthy. people probably think I have an eating disorder because I eat vegetables like they are going out of style.

I have to start thinking about things to make myself for Thanksgiving to bring to my parents... this is the only part that truly stinks about being plant-based. I hate when I have to ask others to accommodate me so I just make my own food and bring it with me
