Good morning everyone! I had a 90% hatch rate :celebrate6 of the 9 chicks have feathered feet, which is what I wanted! Now just hoping most are pullets so I can add them to my flock in a few months. Sid needs some girls!
That's terrific! I am waiting on eggs to hatch under my silkies.

I can't wait until I have a broody even though I think I have the hatching down in an incubator, It would just be easier to have a hen do it.
That's why I bought bantam cochins, silkies , and giant cochins. So much dander flying around in my room and bathroom. Plus hubby complains about the electric bill.

I just had to buy an air purifier for all the dander :lau the chicks that are 25 days old are outside, they've been out there for about a week now. The new chicks are inside and I'm planning on keeping them inside probably for 3 weeks then putting them outside.

I vacuum the room that the chicks are in every day too. I'm actually allergic to bird dander and it's something that I just realized because of my parakeet. I had my parakeet on a shelf that was behind my fan and it must have been blowing the bird dander onto me while I was sleeping because I would wake up so itchy.

I moved the parakeet to a different location in the bedroom and now I don't have that problem.

The parakeet is actually going to my parents house tomorrow because they have a parakeet that had a cage mate with it but I guess it died the other day and they don't know why... So I offered to give them my parakeet. My cat has knocked over the parakeet's cage more times than I can count so I just think it would be best for the parakeet to go to their house and I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore! plus I can see my parakeet anytime that I want because my parents only live about 30 minutes away and I go there every weekend.

I am not big on cleaning, but I am sure my sinuses would drain less if I were. Considering ripping up the carpet in my bedroom. Not sure what is under it.

Getting rid of carpet can help with sinuses for sure. Can you switch it out to a wood floor? Even some of the laminated wood-looking floors are pretty nice now.

I have laminated flooring because a lot of us are allergic to dust mites. It looks just like wood flooring. It's not preference for flooring but we do not own the house. I want wood or tile that looks like wood flooring in my house when we get out own.
