I really like them! The rooster is making me laugh so hard with his crow.

I hope the chicks lay colored eggs!
Sarge started crowing 2 days ago. Worst crow I ever heard!! Even worse than his fathers when he first started.

This one isn't the normal crow. It's this high pitched squeal  The Jersey giant Cockerels look at him like he's a weirdo. I was thinking about calling him Sarge. Didn't know you had a Sarge.

Had that experience at a movie theater also Sour. They had us all evacuate via the emergency doors, and walk around to the front of the theater. Turned out someone burned all the popcorn in the machine. Then they let us back in and started the movie once again. Burnt popcorn does not smell good.

I won't for too much longer. He's got to go. The coop roosts are a little too crowded. I'm going to hold out for someone who wants him for the flock and not the freezer. He's super nice.

Same theater - different year. The movie screen looked like it was on fire. Actually the projector was. They gave us rain checks to see the movie another day. BTW this was a very old theater(not a chain) and it later got total remodeling. But from one screen they changed it into 3 screens - long and narrow like a shoe box.

The ladies room had a big enough hole in the ceiling that anyone above it would get the grand view. Never used the bathroom again after seeing that.

Cookie making has started. 4 dozen cherry/vanilla chip done. Tomorrow we will start on the Hungarian cookies. Dough is in the refrigerator chilling.

What’s a Hungarian cookie like? I haven’t been eating much sugar because of my eczema, so please use great detail. :drool

After taking DH to Plains, PA for his 5th clinical trial visit this Friday, we are headed to New Jersey to meet a Dobie up for adoption.

Fingers crossed for both! :fl:fl

@room onthebroom "What's a Hungarian cookie like?" Good - :drool

8 oz cream cheese
8 oz butter
2 egg yolks
3 cups flour
Refrigerate overnight
Knead dough to soften and roll portions out thin
Cut in rectangles
Fill with jam/jelly
fold dough over on itself -sort of wrapping it

Bake at 375 F for 10 - 15 minutes Lightly coat with powdered sugar

Handling the dough is the big problem as it gets sticky as it warms up. The Princess kneads, rolls, cuts, and I add the jelly, fold dough over, and run the oven. These are my favorite of favorites. It's my MIL's recipe.

My mother had an old, plastic, hollow rolling pin. She would fill it up with cold water and/or ice- kept the dough from getting sticky. Still have it but, discovered she had lost the end cap to keep the water in. :barnie

Dobie keeping fingers crossed x 4 here for both ... made dinner watched 60 minutes about a Man Italian composer himself who is recovering music from the concentration camps never understood how much would have been lost glad I was able to hear some of it
