Morning Cafe boy did I need the coffee up at 9:30 last night I could not get to sleep then the strangest nightmares and it is raining again coffee is my salvation for this

Oh will have to take photos bought the two Blue Cochin these are not suppose to be bantam they are not roosting they sleep on the floor ? the speckled sleep on the roost
not the cochin ?

I’m gonna build the coops before I get them this time. They don’t arrive till mid April.

Yeah I definitely will!! Gonna make two or three more at least. One for the current chicks and one for the new chicks haha giving the new ones their own coop.

How big are you making them?

We are building a duck coop soon so the ducks can have their own area to mess up. The chickens are over their piggish ways

You can use bug bags, pesticides, or use plants that they kill to distract them. I had zero success with doing anything anyone recommended to me. The pesticides that I used were organic ones and they didn't work, I didn't want to use anything stronger because you don't want to use strong pesticides on food you're eating.

My husband made me 4x4 garden boxes, there are two of them. I can also plant in pots as well, but I'm unsure what size I would need.

The fruit that I just ordered I am going to be putting those in big pots because we plan on moving within the next year so I want all my plants to be able to be moved.

I want to start making homemade salsa... We want to do peach, pineapple, restaurant style, and chunky. So whatever I need to do salsa is probably what I'll be growing. I've been addicted to salsa lately.

I wonder if they'll be back this year. Or are they always around? I bet the garden boxes are nice. Are they on top of the ground or elevated so you don't have to bend over?

On top of the ground. I sit on the ground when I work in them or plant in them. I love the outdoors.

I need spring to come back because I'm over winter already.

The beetles only come in the summer when it's really hot. I'm going to start a chemical warfare on them if they don't stop.

They start as grubs so I'm hoping the ducks will get some of them. I'll out down stuff on the grass that's animal friendly to hopefully catch them before they start their life cycle

The cochin are like 12 weeks old ? bought them same time as the speckled sussex
