California weather is weird! We had fog, no wind and near freezing temps while lake Tahoe, not far from her, had blizzard conditions an 137mph winds!

Everyone has had odd weather. Not used to wearing shorts and t shirts in December and January! Except when we were in FL.

Here's Barking Bracket with her chicks. I don't know how the fourth got over the nest box ledge and underneath her. I want her out so I can clean up. She's broody pooped the nest box she hatched in and just moved next door.

This what Bracket moved out of. Two eggs were dummies and the partially hatched egg didn't make it.

This is Knock with her three. I'm going to take the front off the nest box so it's easier for the chicks to go in and out. When I looked earlier, Knock was at the coop door caling for the chicks to follow and the chicks were all lined up against the back wall of the nest box going 'no way are we leaving'.

The house nest box has been busy. Two laying in it atm and two others getting ready to follow.

I lived in So Cal for 40 years, and have lived a few elsewheres for the past 27, and I think you have the best weather! Plus you can have a beach day on Christmas most years and then go to the mountains for snow on New Years. It's a great place to be!

I'm going to start our taxes today, in between shuffling chickens.

I lived in So Cal for 40 years, and have lived a few elsewheres for the past 27, and I think you have the best weather! Plus you can have a beach day on Christmas most years and then go to the mountains for snow on New Years. It's a great place to be!

Generally it is nice but too hot in the summer here. We usually get more than 20 days over 100.

Of course I could move to a place in California with better weather but Prop 13 makes that a bit hard. Currently I pay low property tax but would not get that break if I bought a new place

I was thinking you were in the OC. I think there is a large community there called Woodland that I was mistaking for where you are. A quick search revealed you are up near Sacramento.

Hey everybody try the middle finger emoji thing again now. I just learned of this new feature they implemented and it is awesome and also hilarious.

I suppose they could have changed it to another "I'm not happy about this" emoji.

But I guess maybe they don’t want kids even seeing it?

They are probably the only ones that could! The emojis are pretty small and those of us with old eyes wouldn't likely even notice it

It lists most recent posts, no matter where they are. So after I post this it pops up on the home screen.

Wow, I guess I would never see that, I "live" on the "Watched Threads" page most of the time. Hardly ever go to the home page.
