The unis have moved everything on~line. I homeschooled for years so figure most kids will still be learning ~ just not the way everyone's sorta got used to them doing it.
I read that a lot of elementary schools are only posting review materials and no new instruction.

They want the kids to be more even when they go back and with some children not having access to online resources, they will be behind.

Well, being on an island we were already semi~isolated & we aren't terribly social so this is not the hardship for us it is for so many people. One of my sons has been separated from his family since Jan, though. All our states have closed their borders & no sign of reopening any time soon. His kids are little & are missing him but modern technology is wonderful & makes it easy to keep in touch. Hope you too are staying safe & well.
I don't mind the social distancing part of it, personally, but it's a pain in the buns at work. Our situation is pretty unique, though. Both of the boys work for their dad (my husband) and my brother and I work for our dad. We get to see each other every day because of that and the fact that both businesses are considered essential. We're very fortunate.

I'm sorry to hear that about your son. That would be awful. :(

Yes ... & no. He's a pro fisherman so it's not the 1st time he's had a long absence from home. At least this time he's setting up so he will be home every night with his family. As soon as the borders open they will come up to us & move in here temporarily.

 Honestly, as a HS advocate [🙄] if all a child does is some extra reading the chances are very good they'll be ahead when the time comes. A lot of school stuff is busy work, not actual learning. Just reading engages the brain in all sorts of interesting ways though any parent keen to utelise the time just needs to send their kid to virtual jazz classes. Playing jazz is the only activity that fires all the neurons in the brain @ once! It's very good for the brain. :lau I'm terrible @ jazz. :gig

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made. Tea bags and kettle are on the counter. Run out of milk I'm afraid.:(
Sunny and drying out here from the rain a couple of days ago.
Going to have to think some more on how to keep the chickens off the newly planted stuff.
Can't be doing with this thinking business; it gives me a headache.:D
