I've now got a 2nd broody, a young Wellie pullet whose eggs Eve has been sitting on since yesterday... if she doesn't quit during the week or do other novice nonsense, I'll try to slip some of her own eggs to her. They are in separate coops, which should make it easier. And perhaps not coincidentally, one of the Swedish Flowers (none of whom have gone broody for me) is teaching the young Barbezieux pullet to roost in the holm oak...![]()
