BYC Café

Good afternoon Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee and banana bread Penny - much needed!
I guess our members across the pond are very busy.
Yes and no; been a bit of a weird day, dashing in and out between chickens, garden, and eye treatments, and a rather long nap!
Hi folks. I'm Teri
Hi Teri :frow

Hi folks. I'm Teri and I live in VA. Hubby retired from the USCG and I am retired from the school system. This is my second go around with chickens but I have done so much preparing this time, I'm hoping to have ironef out issues I had last time before they occur! Have 3 adorable Barred Rocks and 3 hyper Silver Laced Wyandottes. All hens, 6 weeks old and I've had them since 4 days - all loves. Have spiffed up the inside of the coop, hoping for ease in cleaning this time but am in such a quandry about what to put on the brand new linoleum floor. Have never done one of these before so I'm just hoping I can find you again!
Welcome Back Tweety.gif
to Chickens!

And welcome to the Cafe

When I did head count at lock up, I was short one chick. I found Malcolm dead in the run. He was fine when I left today. I have no idea what happened to him. I inspected his body and couldn't find any wounds. He was cold and stiff so I don't know if his neck was broken. So sad. :(
