BYC Café

Hoping to sell a load of birds at the swap tomorrow. It's a lot of work getting ready , and has been alternately hot, humid , rainy and sunny. Lots of work still to do. I am fixing up another couple of storage bins with wire tops to put chicks in.
Do you make money at this?

Grass here is totally brown and dried out- supposed to be getting a lot of rain over the weekend - today (Friday) was supposed to rain - NOT ONE DROP!!
We have to run the automatic sprinklers here to keep green grass. I have removed grass in two places so do not water the whole place anymore. Still, the water\sewer bill was $165.00 this month

We have Chicago water here, costs too much to use on grass. Deer(same Buck every year) ate my only plants to the ground (Hostas). I don't know about Calif. grass but, here grass just keeps coming back after all sorts of abuse - once the rain starts up again. Bad thing - in the interim a million weeds try to take over.

Neighbor's huge pine tree shades a good part of my front lawn, so grass is not doing well at all there. The tree is mostly dead but, they won't cut it down. I'm tired of picking up the bare branches it throws down and all the pine cones :idunno

Just missed you then Perris.:thumbsup
indeed; thankfully!
I was as sick as a dog last night. I must have eaten something I shouldn't have.
do you have any suspects? our daughter was once made very ill with campylobacter that had infected raspberries on an ice-cream; turned out (the local authorities investigated) that the ice-cream parlour had not been keeping the frozen raspberries properly...
got a second place
congratulations! :clap
