Broody on the roost!!

If this deal goes through it will be a major load off my back.

I always love it when the broody comes to her senses and heads for the roost instead of nest box.

The psych ward patient was locked up for 4 days and still ranted and raved outside the maternity ward trying to get back to her former chicks. They were with her for 10 days and Astrid for 3. They stayed as close to Astrid as they could get when Mommy Dearest showed up.

Today has been an exceptionally good day.

A soft rain feel and the heat wave broke.

I let the psych ward patient out and her lunatic ravings didn't upset the chicks and their new mother. She's still on the nest.

The feral mother cat let me pet her and 2 kittens let me briefly pick them up without panicking and allowed me to pet their entire bodies. Major progress with them.

But best of all, the couple came to see dad's house and it was a major love fest. They want it and asked what the next step needs to be. I told them they need to get pre-approved for a mortgage. The wife said they're going tomorrow and could be pre-approved in a day. I cleared up that they could be pre-qualified in a day. Pre-approval takes longer as everything gets verified. We'll go from there depending on what they get approved for and what type of mortgage they choose.

They say that good things come in threes - but you did one better and got FOUR!

Dobie How are things with DH being back home ?

Fine! He is as confused as ever but my patience bucket was refilled in his absence! He's happy to be home. We enjoyed our day yesterday.

Good morning, Cafe. Coffee is ready. Hot water for tea is too.
Long day at work today for me then I'm back to mom's house until Monday.
We are off work share after this week but that feels okay too. I've made a lot of progress at moms house and I think I'm ready to resume my normal work hours.

People are wearing masks out here. When we travel on the senior bus, the driver takes our temps before we can get on. I don't mind wearing a mask, I am just forgetful. Sometimes I have one dangling around my neck and realize I need to put it on.

It's more of a problem getting the seniors to use the seat belts. We had one (The Princess) who would pretend to have one on and click it - so it sounded right. Then you'd see it was near her but not ON HER!!

That is great! Had you already decided on a price? When we sold our house, private sale, I paid an appraiser to give it a value. That was the agreed price. Come closing time, even though it had been appraised just a few months back, the buyers' bank required them to pay for another appraisal because I had paid for the prior one even though the buyers found the appraiser. I don't know if the bank tells the appraiser the selling price but the second one came up with the exact same number. I HAVE to believe he knew the selling price and decided it was worth that much (if not more I suppose) and matched it.

DD, I don't live in a place where I need to have a mask at all times, so I also forget what I am doing with it or where I stuffed it last or ... It is still a foreign piece of clothing to me.
Now my hat, shades, and boots are a different story along with my coffee cup!
