BYC Café

Interesting they are all dark brown out here never seen a black one
We have black ones here, they are actually grey squirrels with a mutation.....
....as well as several other kinds.

Is that a metaphor? :p
Nope, just wanted to participate in the wildlife sightings and that's all I saw today :D :gig

Good morning, Cafe' - fresh pot is brewed. @DobieLover no need to rush on the carrots they can handle a frost or two. Harvest as you need.
Yep, I've heard that carrots that have had a frost or two are sweeter.

The housemartins left yesterday, so I guess summer's over here.
Our barn swallows slipped out without even saying goodbye :(
So did the grackles but I don't miss them.

We have some form of finch or sparrow that hangs out all year.

She'll be in before the month is out come hell or high water.
Good thing the house isn't on the MS/AL coast, they are going to get both tonight and tomorrow.

I wish I could've seen them go up and come back down! I love wild turkeys, but don't get to see them too often. Maybe a couple times a year.
We had a flock of 17 trooping through the field today. They are interesting, they don't hang around just seem to use it as a highway with plenty of fast food potential.

I've never seen a black squirrel before! Didn't know it was a thing :D
I guess they are kind of rare, but there are quite a few around me.
