BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Nice hot pot of coffee is on.
It's been raining here since yesterday morning. Only some of mom's stuff got moved over and they are still in the rental. The rest is supposed to go over today. Apparently, the people my mom hired to move her don't have a box truck. I'd like to say "smooth move" but under these circumstances that would be inappropriate!!

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee Tonya ☕ I hope the rest of the move goes smoother than it did yesterday!

Went shopping this morning and, unusually, wandered down a non-food isle to look at the cd's for sale (I still like and buy them; never got into streaming music). Found a couple that took my fancy, and as I rounded the end of the isle to come back the other side (we have 1-way systems in place in supermarkets since covid19 shutdown) discovered it had assorted non-food clearance items scattered across 3 shelves. Managed to bag a set of 5 fabulous Sabatier knives with knife block for £20 😃
Now they are standing on the worktop, all beautiful and shiny, and I've gone through my knife drawer turfing out all the knives that I never or almost never use because something about them doesn't quite work. All I need to do now is raise my cooking to the level of my knives :D

Rain here too, off and on yesterday and last night, more to come.
Windy with damp and temp drops, it's seems chilly.
Kind of triggered my 'you've got all this shittodo before it really gets cold' antennae.
I hear you! hubby and son put hay equipment away for winter, and brought out snow equipment for servicing. Phone is ringing off the hook from people wanting firewood.

Same exact thing here. I was thinking about all the winter prep I need to do in the coop/run and with the chickens. I never got the receptacle and flood light on a timer switch installed in the run or the timer controlled automatic door out to the pen.
I hate scooping the boards in the dark. The chickens don't like it either and take shots at my head when I reach under the roost to get the back of the boards.
