Woot! Have a guy coming from nearby Andalusia to pick up Bruiser tomorrow afternoon... I'm so relieved! Bruiser is in with two hens, and recently one won't even leave the chateau.. he mounts her every time she even pops her head out. I guess she doesn't much like him. So, once he's gone, I can move Henri and his two ladies into that pen and have all 4 hens back together again. Henri is great with his two ladies and doesn't allow the stronger one to pick on the weaker one.. He's protecting her.. Hopefully Maggie will get the same treatment.

Got a bit of bad news for you. None of you are good enough to die young.
We get a bit of a breeze here. The chances of getting hit by a falling tree are pretty slim. I have been in a garden shed/chicken coop when it blew over though.
I didn't die. I must have been very naughty in my life at some point.

Mostly the plastice type. There are lots here in all the places that are at head height or above and likely to catch the wind. The chickens think they're a new type of predator.
