BYC Café

I forgot about the ice and my feet shot right out front under me yesterday morning when I was walking out to go fill the chickens water reservoir. I slammed down on my right elbow. I'm glad I didn't break it. I'd be screwed. There's a big bump there and it hurts if I touch it but that's fine. I can still work.
ARRRGH!
Need you a sand shaker:

All but about 3" melted off the roofs I couldn't shovel.
There is about 6" or so left on the ground where I didn't put the snow banks.
There is a low spot across the path from the deck to the chicken pen gate that flooded and then froze into a glass like sheet of ice. I walk around it on the frozen snow.
It flurried 2 nights ago and dusted the path. I forgot about the ice and my feet shot right out front under me yesterday morning when I was walking out to go fill the chickens water reservoir. Oh no! Maybe put some (intentional) ice on your elbow? That sounds painful :(

This is sad news. Who is it?
It's Mag. The one in the middle standing.

No soup for me today, thanks, we all (including the dogs) had venison :p

Regarding your rooster, you could try giving him milk thistle for at least 4-5 days (tea or dried up seeds or leaves mixed into his feed) as it helps wonders in case it is a liver problem.

And for the heart crataegus/hawthorn (tea or capsules) can help. You can administer both milk thistle and crataegus at the same time.
I wouldn't even know where to start looking for milk thistle here.
I don't think its a liver problem; that would show in his poop.

Good evening Cafe.
Hot gazpacho on the stove. I haven't messed about with this one.
Had a bit of a breeze yesterday. I'm still picking up plant pots, branches and bits of broken chair. No coop damage which is good. I've got them staked into the ground after the last one blew over.
Can't hear yourself think for chainsaw noiise here today. I haven't found any trees down yet.
Happy Birthday @CapricornFarm A bit late I'm afraid.

Sorry to hear about the wind. That's one of natures "masterpieces" I could live without.

How is Mag doing?
