BYC Café

Love for sure.....I've got the same saw, but not a dewalt.
This computer needs to be replaced!
Did you notice the "t" was missing from the word stand? I did. Went back and corrected it.
I type fast but the keyboard is missing letters and spaces with normal typing pressure.
I replaced the keyboard about 2 years ago.
The laptop is a cheapo Lenovo without any frills but we don't need that.
I read an article explaining what to expect for the life of a laptop. It depended on how good the original hardware was (generally reflected in the price you paid), what you do with it and how well you take care of it.
According the the article, written by a heavy gamer who works in IT and builds computers on the side, my computer would be expected to last 2-4 years.
I've not been very good to it as I frequently put it on a pillow to type so it can overheat and I never unplug it from the charger when the battery is full.
It is 6 years and 3 months old so I guess that's good. It has lots of annoying glitches so instead of trying to get it fixed, I think I need to start shopping for the replacement.
Sigh. I hate shopping for electronics.

..and I fixed the quote.

UHG!
Couple-Three inches of wet snow on top of icy slush.
The kind that sticks to the shovel.
Glad I don't HAVE to drive anywhere today.
I don't even want to think about clearing the driveway.
Wet Snow Don't Blow/Throw.

Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee Tonya. I'll have a cup. I didn't get my full ration this morning.
Below freezing here overnight and for some reason the water heater threw a hissy fit and wouldn't fire up this morning. The pipes weren't frozen and it's decided to work now. If the water level in the deposit tank isn't high enough the water pressure isn't sufficient to fire up the ingnitor.
I couldn't get the lid up on the water deposit to check because the padlock had frozen.:he
It is good to have hot water in the morning!

6 years is good long time for a laptop!

It is still hard to find low cost laptops due to school at home purchases.

Good morning, Cafe! Thanks for the coffee, Tonya.

Had another calf last night. My husband cleared out a packed loft that's been stuffed with old papers and Christmas decor and cut in a new window for a sweet vantage point. A little hard to get up and down, but you can see everything!

We got freezing rain last night too. I was cutting trim in the garage (on the buyers beautiful Dewalt sliding compound chop saw mounted to a stand with extension rails to support the lumber :love ) and I could hear it raining pretty hard. About an hour later the buyer and I opened the garage door so he could show off his handiwork with the flood lights and our vehicles were coated in ice. As was the driveway. We all decided we'd leave at the same time in case any of us had trouble getting off the hill. I left 1.5 hours early and they stayed 2 hours later than planned.
Glad you made it out of there okay! Freezing rain is awful.
