Winds have died down a bit, snow has mostly stopped.
Not looking forward to moving snow at 8°F.
May wait until tomorrow to clear driveway when wind drops more and temps rise to 18.

I slept in. I really needed it.
It was nice to visit with the flock this morning without being nervous about seeing a bird in distress. I'm also delighted to report that all the poops on the board looked magnificent!
We have a light snow falling but the temps have dipped into the low teens.
I tried to run the dogs yesterday. Skittles kept falling through the 8" of snow and I had to trudge back to get him then carry him to the car and put him in. Then Bella wouldn't run in it and followed in my path about 0.0537" from my feet so her aim was frequently off and she kept stepping on me.
We are going up to dad's former house today to gather the last of the things I left there. We should close this week. I allowed the buyers to move in. They will put the NYSEG in their names tomorrow with the reading they took yesterday morning. They replaced the carpet in the sitting room last week and had Spectrum cable out Wednesday to hook up cable. Last night was the first night they slept in their new house.
I will be bringing Bella with me. They have a very spunky, smart West Highland Terrier that just turned 1 year old and he loves big dogs. I'm hoping he and Bella hit it off and have a grand time playing. She needs to burn off some energy.

Good morning! DL, I am glad that you can have some peace of heart... Hugs!
We had 80mph winds last night and they have calmed down to 60mph or so. There is a fresh coating of snow everywhere but it is still just a dusting and it is cold but warming up to almost 40F. This is just a wonky winter! DS$ won his matches yesterday in the HS competition and he suggested to his coach that because of Da'Vid and various teams needing to quarantine, they should not compete with other teams 15 days before Regionals, just in case!
I think his coach had an eye-opening experience and therefore that will be the plan.
We shall see...

Anywho, good morning, all. 5-6" of snow yesterday and the same again over night. It got down to -8°f and it's slowly climbing. 1° above, now. Of course the cows wait until the storm hits to start calving. We had four yesterday and one this morning. It's still 20° in the barn

Number one is going down the road. This is the 3rd year in a row she's repeatedly slammed her calf into whatever she can slam her against. Too much stress for us and the calf.
