I bet that was why the cat ran out the door

I have always had weird things happening with me. From childhood on. Now, my dreaming state at night, disturbs my husbands sleep. BUt from what I have learned, the female brain dreams in Delta waves. As do infants.
I had never till this time in my life....been aware that one persons state of un-consciousness could have such an effect on the person sleeping next to them. I don't talk in my sleep, nor sleepwalk, nor become agitated. I just dream. And many are lucid dreams.
Apparently, I can project them somewhat. Not the dreams per se...but the brain waves they are composed on. Like an old record playing music soundwaves. We cannot see them....but we can hear them. And feel them.
But at night, when I am asleep and dreaming.....hubby ends up dreaming too. He claims up to the point that we met, that he was not a dreamer.

Yes, that's an eerie thing. What are you going to do with the "cat" now?

Currently the little gray calico is ensconced in my bathroom... (poetic justice, no?) because every time I set out the trap for the raccoon that has been dining on my chickens, I catch her. Until I get the raccoon issue resolved, I'm just leaving her there. She is really good at hiding. She hides every time I go in to give her food and water and scoop her kitty litter. The only proof I have that she's there (besides the food and litter box) is her silhouette in the window when I'm outside.

Of course, that also means that I'm not using my bathroom right now.

Coincidence?

I had no idea...but that is pretty darn cool!

How's things?

I have been flat out, after I found red mites in my chicken coop. Gah! Not what I wanted to find in there, that's for sure.

I don't think it was a severe infestation - a wipe-down of the roost at night revealed some mites but not millions, but no mite is a good mite, is it? Hubby and I sprayed down the roost, walls and nest boxes with poison ("Maldison," it was called, it is suitable for red mite), and put fresh hay in the nests, and the birds seem fine. No-one is scratching, everyone is roosting, so they must be ok I guess. We are going to re-spray again in 2 weeks time.

Other than that little drama, things are as per usual - work, farm, work, farm. It's all good in the 'hood.

Well that just doesn't sound fun at all. I drug up a heaping filled 8 ft truck bed of pond weeds to my compost area. I gathered the mostly dried stuff that I had pulled out the other day and then went back and pulled more out of the lake to dry. I found a big beautiful Tiger Salamander in one bunch, so I left those alone. Yesterday was also a moose, deer and elk spotting day for me. Sunny at the moment, the storm hasn't hit yet with 1 or 2 feet, but if it sets up right, + feet more.

.I will bring the snowshoes into the house today, just in case and have the rotary phone out and I should go food shopping. I guess it is another coffee up kind of a day!
