We've hit a milestone. DH "went for a walk" when Nan left. He ended up at my mother's house, 1.25 miles down the hill. I was texted by UN stating "Why is (DH) here in tears?"

WHAT?

I had to leave work early to go get him.
He doesn't understand why he shouldn't have left the house let alone walked all the way down the hill and gone THERE.
DH claims he wasn't in tears. That he must have missed my mom, doesn't understand what's been going on between her and I and went down there. Mom was a little teary eyed to see him there and he got misty. That's what HE said. I'll never really know. I picked him up and on the way home told him we'd have to call his kids for an update.

I then got a call from my BIL telling me that CS was trying to call DHs son (they took his phone from him and saw a missed call from Jr and took the number) and that she and UN plan to call Adult Protective Services on me. Fine and dandy. Bring it on! I've done nothing wrong and take great care of DH. I spoke to both kids and they support me completely. Yes. Even Jr.
I often am shocked that I share so many genes with these nut job, rotten people.

They aren't here. They live 8 hours away. They just don't think I'm neglecting or abusing their father. At one point I had major issues with the son.
Regardless how I feel about the way he's handled things in the past and treated me they are his kids and I've kept them involved with all the major goings on with their father.
We've discussed having Zoom meetings to stay in contact better but I certainly don't have time to set it up. His daughter is sending out a meeting notice for tomorrow night.

Thanks for the coffee! We are supposed to get more snow today but only a couple of inches. We are heading off to the stable pasture to burn a monster slash pile in a bit and that should be fairly entertaining. It will burn quickly because it is a lot of aspen branches.
