All you easterners are getting snow and it's supposed to be 68° here today, tomorrow and 70°s this weekend. Can't say I'd trade ya, but will send you warm vibes

The four new chicks are doing well. I can't believe the difference between shipped chicks and hatched-at-home chicks. Way more friendly and openly curious, don't lose their marbles when I reach my hand in the brooder. I didn't really think much of it before, that's just the way they were. I suppose rolling around in a little box for 3 days would make anyone a little nutty.

I seem to have been lucky and haven't had any real problems with the new issue. I even prefer the picture posting method/options.

And in addition the home made and hatched ones get their mother's antibodies for exactly the specific spectrum of pathogenic germs that your surroundings provide.

Even better if mum hatches and raises them.

Hot gazpacho on the stove. Help yourselves. I've made far too much.
It hit 26C here yesterday for a while. These days it seems that's about as warm as I'm interested in doing anything in.
The weather has been pretty decent for the last few days. Got some rain coming in and a drop in temps forecast over the weekend. Glad I've still got dry wood for the stove.
Covid has finally hit the nearest village. It seems to have gone around very fast. A few dead and lots in quarantine.
Got sent my first ever 'smart phone' by my elder sister a few days ago. I hate it!
I've swiped it and tapped it and still have trouble answering a call. What happened to those phones that used to make phone calls?

It hit 26C here yesterday for a while.

Yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful summer's day at 24°C with lots of sun and just a gentle breeze, while today we are back to frosty 2°C, strong gusts of cold wind and some rain.

Covid has finally hit the nearest village. It seems to have gone around very fast. A few dead and lots in quarantine.

Yes, it is getting closer at frightening speed. Just yesterday evening my friend's father died too.

Sorry to hear about the phone troubles. They aren't as smart as they think they are! Err... Wait. Maybe that's me I'm a bit of a technophobe. These phones do far more than I'll ever know.
