Whee! The door is done and hung!

A fence in between the littles' and the adults' area. Everybody is pecking the grass or scratching the dirt. I have some more "run furniture" to add, and some rearranging to do. I'll put a tarp over part of the top for some protection from the rain.

I would put a raccoon proof latch down near the bottom. A door that tall probably has a lot of "squeeze room" down there.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

The bonfire from burning the tree branches/leaves from Monday night was so hot that when I went out last night to push the branch ends that didn't burn from around the perimeter, they caught fire and finished off! Everything got doused early this morning when a storm went through.

Our power is off right now. Estimated restoration is 6:15. Usually, it's sooner than their estimate. Let's hope this is a usual restoration.

No coffee. Got a chiro appointment today. Guess what I'm buying on the way!

Lots of coals, they can smolder for days!
I've kept a burn pile going for 4 days once, reigniting like that daily.
Usually had a stash of dry pine to help flare things back up.

Guess what I'm buying on the way!

A camp stove?
That's what I use to heat water for coffee when the power is out.

That wind that came in front of the storm was scary as hell here.
Glad it didn't last long, no trees fell on my house, and that the temp dropped(it was still 88 in my house before the storm).
Never lost power.
Think most the storms went north and south of me.....thunder and lightning to the south was prodigious.
