It's supposed to cool off tomorrow. I sure hope so. So many things I want to get done.

I did turn the compost pile so that I could start a new pile. Then I was soaked with sweat. Sat outside in the (slight) breeze for a bit then started the generator so I could take a shower.

I'm so over this power outage. Three-four days to go...

I am sorry for the power outage!

We are on the same grid as the county jail so our power outages are never very long here. The longest was about 8 hours. One part of woodland was out for 10 days!

The quail and hens are using water nipples, vertical and horizontal

Well went after 4 marans came home with these there is 4 but just 1 marans she said as we loaded them they have mites

I'd have unloaded them right then and there.

Knew I had a coop I could control all of it so went ahead just got stuff together before took them out the crate 1 by one to treat it is closed coop just now because of it.

I gave up on the verticle they dripped on me all the time

I use the vertical ones for the quail. They do drip a bit. The horizontal is for the hens and are screwed into a bucket. The hens can go five or so days before I have to refill the bucket.

I also have an auto fill bucket but that is in the big pen that I am not using again yet.

They were zipping all over the place with her but she stays pretty close to the coop and run.

I love watching the really young ones running around then heading back to Mom for a warm up.

I'd have unloaded them right then and there.

Me too. No one should be selling birds with medical issues. Clean up the problem before you send them "off farm".
