Good News!
Willie mounted one of the Brahma pullets this morning.
She toddled up next to him and squatted fully and he very gently gave her what she wanted.
Wonders if she was the same one that the cockerel tried to mount earlier in the coop.

Our power is back on!

I have two loads of laundry on the line. It's humid now, but that's supposed to go down today, and high of "only" 88. The humidity breaking might mean rain, but the sky is clearing, so I'll take my chances. Very low on clean work shirts/underwear, because it gets soaked with sweat even if I'm just walking. Two changes of clothes every day takes up a lot of clothing!

DH has a short day, and their lunch is going to be catered in from a VERY happy customer! I think he'll probably crash on the couch with the AC running, but that's ok. He's earned it.

Tomorrow we'll be going to the Sparta Celtic Festival. It's outside, the weather is supposed to be great, and one of our favorite bands will be playing: Crossbow. They're all Grand Valley State University (my alma mater!) grads, very talented, and fun to watch.

He just guessed that the lunch was from a customer. It was actually from one of the owners, as a thanks for getting a big job done. And, everyone got a bonus for the same reason.

I'm so glad he works for people who value their employees. His getting fired three years ago was a huge blessing. (But what a disguise! LOL)
