BYC Café

Morning! We got our standard 12 to 14 inches of snow this AM. Still snowing too, but lightly. Too bad I have to go to Denver for DS$ weigh-ins today. Oh well, could be worse.....
OFW, that coffee sounds divine! How cool that you know exactly where it came from and how it was roasted. Glad that the chicks are doing well.
I think I need more coffee. It is going to be one of those very long weekends. Spring Break is next week though and maybe, just maybe I can get caught back up with the house chores and office chores and critter chores and.......

Weekend. On my way to town, to pick up some building materials. It seems my list got overwritten by my wife's. I will now be working on an accent wall in the house

Well honestly Scott, I have about four months to complete my outdoor projects The multiple coops and pens I want for the breeds of chickens we will have.
Plus the weather here today, is kind of wet

Yes I learned a long time ago happy wife happy life

Very wise with the number of babies you have. Keep your wife happy :D

Quote: OK, so I must be doing something wrong, 'cause I don't have a "Honey-do" list, I have a "Bunny-do" list, and it gets constantly rearranged by almost everybody. Like yesterday - I had in mind doing some housekeeping and working in the rabbitry, but instead spent most of the day putting a new floor in the horse trailer and mowing the lawn. The horse trailer needs to be done before next Friday, so it just got moved up on the list a bit, but the lawn hadn't even been on my list. Hubby has a battery-powered push mower that we jokingly refer to as "the Barbie mower" because it is so light weight; yesterday he told me, "I don't need it today, so should I leave it here? The point is, will you use it if I leave it here?" Yes, the lawn needed mowing badly; it was overseeded with rye and the warm weather has it growing like mad, but y'all heard the subtext on that one, didn't you? "Yes, dear" . . . . . so, the lawn got mowed. It looks a lot better.

You are too nice :) Sometimes being the squeaky wheel is the only way to get anything accomplished. I know enough to be squeakier during the winter months, when he has time. So just make sure your timing is good.

That's the problem - he doesn't have the time, and I, well, I can make the time. If I squeak, he squeaks louder . . . .

And I am blessed or cursed with having grown up with "the Little Red (haired) Hen" as my mother. She has never been able to delegate, and nor, it seems, can I, and he takes my "handiness" for granted. How many women in their 50's do you know that have spent time in the last few months putting a metal roof on an outbuilding?

Does repairing the existing roof after one of our wind storms qualify? If so, then that makes two!
