It's been a few days. I got hooked reading the Derperella thread...all 4,000+ posts. In the meantime, our Rottweiller, Princess, died peacefully in her sleep. It was the night of an terribly fierce thunderstorm--which is why I wasn't alerted when her snoring stopped (I could always hear her snoring in her room downstairs from our bedrooms upstairs).

Krista: I am sending lots of love and prayers your way. In answer to your question: I have degrees in anthropology and biology. I currently work in pharmaceuticals and medical devices. If I could do anything, it would be to sew quilt tops and raise chickens for their colorful eggs and sweet personalities!

Scott: I'm loving those eggs! That's what I want to do!

3goodeggs: My silkies are the same way. Total downpour and they are out in it. Not a lick of sense between the two hens.

not funny ! I didn't even have an allowance at that age- what's a girl to do? I'd love to hear Sour's excuse. Knowing him it will be a dandy.

Hey, that wasn't me at the soda fountain - I never dressed like that (except for the Tom Thumb wedding where I 'married' my best friend's little sister). Hey, I NEVER had an allowance. I shoveled chicken crap for 25 cents/hour. Talk about red mites.

Ok, I need a big cup of something strong this morning. Already stressing over my lockdown this morning, hoping the humidity doesn't skyrocket while I'm at work. I probably should have waited till I got home this evening, but they looked "ready" to me... and I was anxious.

carikermoon - so sorry about Princess... that's a major bummer, but at least it was peaceful. ((hugs to you))
