BYC Café

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
I know some are concerend that I may have resorted to some feeze dried powdered make, so just to reassure you, this is Lavazza Expresso Black. It's drinkable.:)
Lovely sunny morning here. Clouds and drizzle on its way.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee Shad :)

Do you take care of the bee hives in addition to the chickens?

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the lovely coffee, Shad.

Another hard frost and a bit colder this morning. We had a few fluffy snow flakes fall yesterday.

Good morning Tonya, is that the first of the flakes you've had so far this winter? This was us back about 3 weeks ago:

Good Morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee.

I'm a little late this morning as I manage to sleep through two alarms only to get up half an hour later. Something that's never happened before, but there's a first time for everything I guess?

We had a good hard frost last night, but it is now sunny with a chilly breeze. Dare I say that I'm looking forward to snow now that all the leaves are gone from the trees as it's a rather brown world out there.

My family cabin in B.C.
Not exactly a day trip for you!!!

There are about a dozen allotment plots.
Here they would call that a Community Garden though I don't think anyone would keep chickens there. They have a big enough problem with people stealing the veg.

Another hard frost and a bit colder this morning.
We were at 20°F, didn't expect it to be that cold. I still have a hose going out to the barn to a 4 way splitter, 3 in use. One goes to a water thing (supposed to be automatic but screws up so often I just fill by hand) and I couldn't shut the valve. Another goes to an auto-waterer in the barn for the girls. No water coming out of that one either. The hose at the house is also still out.

I'm hoping none of the hoses split when it warms up. I will drain them and put them away for the winter. Guess I should have done that yesterday but Mr. NOAA said it was going to be 29°F.

I've heard good things about Mount A! Haven't spent much time in New Brunswick though myself.
It claims to have been the top undergraduate university in all of Canada 21 times in the last 29 years (don't know WHICH years ;) ).

You can go to Mount A, Sackville is basically the last city (heading east) from the New Brunswick/Nova Scotia border, 9 km :D They have a nice waterfowl park there with a boardwalk through it.
