BYC Café

They tend to show up here and there once the weather gets cold.
We get the occasional mouse in the house as well. Unfortunately we usually find them as barfed up mouse. When we are lucky whichever cat left it for us does it in the walk-in shower. I don't think our 3 cats would do well fending for themselves outside.

Once you go Jack, you never go back.
My sister-in-law "inherited" a JR some years ago from a friend who died from a sudden heart attack, I think he was late 40's :(

Really nice dog but wow did he have a LOT of energy!

Reminds me of a story of a cat that caught mice and took them into the bathtub,
where it could fool with them all night long before killing and eating them.
They broke that habit by leaving an inch or so of water in the tub. :gig

Thankfully Buoy just left it whole under the table (though I have had Jacks who also liked to eat their prey in the past) - partially digested mouse would be a little less palatable 🤣

And that is very sad…

This breed is truly one of the most energetic. They literally bounce off walls. Not for everyone. Haha. However, they are also fairly easily entertained. 💕 and they go from 100% to 0% energy really quickly in the evenings - but only have those two settings.😊

This is the little fella:
