Found a strange thing in the coop this morning, right inside the exterior door.
Partially eviscerated mouse, there was another farther away from door that I stepped on.

No, chickens do not have access to that part of coop shed.
Plus, they wouldn't have made such a precise excavation.

I guess plant math is a stronger compulsion than chicken math.

Yes, in a way.

It's easier to care for plants than animals. You also can find space for "one more plant" more easily than for "one more chicken."

Thanks for the coffee! I am back to my coffee after going to take my every two weeks covid test. Hopefully I will only have a couple more of these tests until they end the requirement LOL!

This was my 25th of these tests since the program started.

Hopefully we will get to stop the daily symptom checker too. When I get a green good to go onto campus, I have to forward the email to our Local HR Staff.

I did see the most stunning azalea at Lowes yesterday and want it BAD! It was basically white with the palest pink flush to the ends of the petals. I've never seen anything like it and simply MUST find a place for it to live here!!!

Better go back and get it because someone else is sure to see how gorgeous it is!

I don't know, I've never killed an animal (well there are those woodchucks and the raccoon that killed my chickens) but plants? They best look out!

Given the increase in Covid cases and deaths I'm not sure that is a good idea.

FIL in the skilled nursing facility tested positive Monday. DW, DD1 and her BF were with him Sunday. They were masked as required so hopefully safe. MIL just called, she now tests positive. She goes to see him at least twice daily and also masks though they do sometimes eat dinner together. All are vaxxed and boosted so hopefully unlikely to get hospitalized but FIL is 97 with Parkinson's, MIL is 89, DW has been on immune suppressing drugs for over 20 years. Plenty to be concerned about.

We play it safe as possible have had the vaccine and boosted get number ? next month. We are on 4 when we get the one in June.
