BYC Café

Here's another pot. Drink up!

It's going to be a chilly day; high of 68. But with that comes some needed rain, so it's all good. Chiro appointment today, and any errands I need to do between here and there. With the :ducprice of gas, it has to be an emergency to go out and "get something I forgot." We're out of Coke? Too bad, wait until the next shopping trip. Out of pop (soda) is not an emergency! Now, out of coffee is a different story!

I put Widget in the breaker cage last night at lock up. The first time I did that, she went spazzo-crazy. This time she took it in stride and just kept saying, "bup-bup-bup-bup." I have petted her while she was on the nest, and once when I took her out and put her on the floor. She squawked a bit, but made no move to peck or bite me. I hope that means if I let her be a momma (next spring...?), she won't attack me when she has babies to take care of.

Seems like if the power outage is planned people could shut down the computers beforehand.
Most of the faculty are gone already and some left their stuff on. the Servers have to stay on for server things. Sadly we do not have power backup to last two hours.

The labeler should have been fine but the staff left with a jam in the labeler and the labeler came on to cleat the jam letting the motor run until she came into work.

This is just one spot. It's awfully hard not to scratch them!

And I blamed Bella needlessly.
The rash from contact with the oils of poison oak can take 24-48 hours to appear. It showed up at just about 48 hours on the nose after we cut up that poplar that fell in my yard in the April snow storm. Shadow's owners came over. Hubs cut up the trunk and his wife and I hauled the chunks to the burn pile. The trunk had vines climbing along it. I looked up poison oak and it was a match.

If you know you have been around poison oak or ivy, this works great:

Good morning! Yes, on the coffee!
Another day, another dollar SPENT! I have a loaner car until parts come in...DS$ can't drive it because he is too young so I am doing two days of the wrestling practice drive,
which is nice because I get to chat with the other parents in the room. DL, I am glad that you found a contractor!
I think that I will plant some more stuff today and maybe go play in a swamp. I crawled around in a spider infested under stair storage area and retrieved canning jars and jugs and the sauerkraut crocks, yesterday, so why not play in a swamp today?
