BYC Café

Very warm here. Up on the hills, there's a breeze, but the work I wanted to get done was down in the valley, where there is next to no breeze. I lasted about an hour. Cooling off for the next few days before the next heat wave comes in. I'll just have to get it done while it's cool, while I can.
We are at 94F now going up to 96F today. The rest of the week will be cooler-- mid 80s.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

What a rotten night.
I woke up with a loud lightening crack and closed all the windows. About an hour later, around 2, I woke again with such pain in my right ear it affected the entire right side of my head. It felt like water was in there but it I couldn't get any out.
I took 2 ibuprofen and googled how to relieve severe ear pain and did the warm compress and the suggestion to sleep sitting up so the tubes in my ear could drain. I fell asleep at some point and the intense pain is finally gone but it still feels funny.

Good morning. Hot coffee is appreciated! Back down in the high 30's maybe or 40F is what I saw when I woke up. No wind today, however.
DL, I hope your ear drains and things start looking up in the crud world. I despise summer colds!
DS$ is back from Kearney and he had a great time. 750 wrestlers attended and so there were very long days of working meal times, rec times, refereeing, and technique explaining. He met a few more teammates and had some fun too!

Good afternoon Cafe.

I hate 'colds' in the ear.

Lost power this morning ,for no apparent reason, made it thru both the storms with power intact, SMH.
Restoration was supposed to be 6 hours later, luckily it only took 4 hours.
So stuff in fridge is OK....and most important, the ceiling fan is running as the house temp reached 85.
