BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! I survived the cow search and saw a bunch of pretty country that had no cows, just turkeys and wildflowers. Left at 6AM and got back home at 6PM. I was riding a horse that I used to own and that was sweet comfy ride. Why the heck did I sell HIM? LOL!
My starlink arrives today and maybe we can get it up and running. I have had slim to no internet for most of the day for weeks now...
I hope the chicks are having fun, DL and enjoy the day with DH!
Aart, I am glad that the worst is over from the dentist trip!
Sally, congrats to your DH! I hope you have a long "Honey Do" list!
Have fun today, Cafe!

Maggie Mae update:

4/19 bloodwork indicates Phenobarbitol is below therapeutic level, but seems to be working so no increase.

7/6 -7/7 cluster of 3 seizures over a 12 hour period. Double Phenobarbitol - still on low end of possible dosage.

7/18 - 7/19 seizures 2:30 and 3 AM and again at 8:49. Seizures are less significant, shorter in duration, and she recovers relatively rapidly. Seconds after the last she was barking at Scaredy Cat who was on the deck.

Talked to vet. Increasing meds by 50 % - still way below maximum level - and playing a waiting game. Who wanted this damn dog? :love

I was wondering about Maggie Mae. Thanks for the good update.

She's handling it all remarkably well. We are stressing over it. I'm concerned over the progression, but I always project too much. We can increase the Phenobarbitol level more if needed, and there are other drugs. Thankfully our vet is a one step at a time person. His philosophy truly is 'First do no harm.'

I'm sorry your "helpful" neighbor is a no show. That would be a very short job for a machine.
Maybe I could have avoided this if he actually did what he said he was going to do.
