As in - now that he is retired he has to work in your Honey-do list!
I retired early. Every day the Princess was leaving me an actual Honey Do List. Every day for weeks I would crumple it up and throw it on the floor. Finally she asked, "What's up with the list?" I replied, "How's that working for you?" We decided that one or two requests were most likely to receive action.

Most of what he's working on are his projects. Though tomorrow he'll be fixing the stove. At least we hope the parts we got fix it.

He has a very strong vested interest in the stove working. I'll need it for canning and making salsa, and he likes the results of that. ;)

But sometimes showing up with two helping hands and willingness to work beats competency all to heck.
