Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

The party is over and it's time to go home.

Before we head back we're having brunch at a little Cafe in Peacham where I saw chickens hanging out with the patrons sitting at the outside seating area. I went a little gaga at them and want to have my brunch with them today.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee. Travel safely.
Well, using scissors would be the preferred method ;)
One quick tug and a sprint. :wee
He'll NEVER go in the freezer! He's way too good of a flock rooster. He just hates me.
All his sons have been awesome.
I look at it as more of a love/hate relationship rather than a 'hate'.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee! I was greeted with a BIG bull moose following a mom with twins out in the aspens of the horse pasture. He was doing his squeak grunt and they were just hanging out. The smaller bull moose hanging around must have given-up on this girl. Tonight I get to go to an Oktoberfest Gala. DH doesn't want to go so I am ditching him and going by myself but will meet up with some HS wrestling friends from DS$'s old team. It should be fun!
Enjoy the weekend!

We made it to the summit and to the lookouts.
So glad you enjoyed it! Doable hike, well that one big sloping rock face on the south side was a bit of a thrill. We went down that way and frankly work boots don't make good hiking boots.

Today we hiked Devil's Hill trail.
You hit perfect peak foliage!!! And it is SO much better when looking over it than up at it.

We went to Stowe mountain.
You went right by DD2's work place at Smugglers Notch State Park. She doesn't work Wed or Thurs though. Last day of work is next Saturday.

The drive in/out of Stowe.
Did you go through the Notch? If you did, you also passed Smugglers Notch Resort where DD2 works as a lift attendant on the bunny slope in the winter. You were 30 miles from my house when on the Stowe Gondola. If you went north from Stowe on 108 through the notch to Rt 15, you were a mere 17 miles from me before you headed east.

DW grew up in Stowe, she and her brother and sister raced for the Mount Mansfield Ski Club, the DD's learned to ski there. In-laws lived on Edson Hill road off Rt 108. FIL used his spotting scope to see what the snow conditions were like by watching people ski before he went up. FIL modified Longines timing equipment to work with an electronic eye in 1952, first automatic ski timing in the US.

Before we head back we're having brunch at a little Cafe in Peacham
Home of Gold Shaw Farm, one of my favorite YouTube channels. Probably drove right by the farm.

We did!

I waved. Did you see me?

The Peacham Cafe.

If this gal had gotten close enough to grab I would have absconded with her. She was beautiful!

I liked the white one too. All adorable mutts.

There were three others that stayed nearby but wouldn't come over. One was a double laced gold barnevelder.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

It's good to be home.
I had to build a fire last night. My nephew never built one and we had some pretty nippy weather when we were gone. It took a good sized fire to get the chill out of the air and the whole house warmed up.

Fabio is STILL molting and his hackle and head feathers are really sparse now. In other words, he looks like hell.

The little boys are croaking now instead of peeping... and still hanging out with and towering over their mother!
Three more girls blew out their feathers when I was gone.
Mallory looks like she might have a minor limp that will need to be investigated tonight.
My nephew scooped up the poop and most of the PDZ because most of the slots of the scoop were plugged up and he didn't knock it out. I was surprised when I grabbed the bucket this morning to find it already full.
