Well, as soon as they grow back in all fresh and beautiful,
I'm sure he wouldn't mind sacrificing a few. :D
I'm not so sure of that...
I once needed to do a feathered headband and I used chicken feathers. I mostly went for the leftovers from when a hen drops a feather in the middle of night, but once I tried to do a wing feather "harvest". I faced many screaming hens, a scared and confused mom, and some loudly barking hounds, and even some bleeding peck-bites in the process.
I really don't think it was worth the effort. she has a rooster? those things have spurs! (I know so, my evil Gaston tried to hump me once!) one will just get zero zilch feathers, and need plenty of plaster afterwards.

Well, using scissors would be the preferred method ;)
 
Guess that would depend on what kind of beans and how you grind them.
It also has to do with the amount of pressure in the stovetop moka pots. It is lower than in a machine so make a bit thinner of a brew.

I use very finely ground beans...that I roast myself.

It was kind of an inside joke. You'd have to know the history between me and my rooster.
