BYC Café

I've decided to go ahead with the partial toe amputation. He's completed 3 weeks of antibiotics and it's gotten worse. He's also going to have a dental while he's under so he doesn't have to have a second anesthesia. I hope this is the last time he ever has to go under anesthesia. I'm nervous about the entire procedure because he has that heart murmur.

Good luck to him!

Good luck to him!
Thank you.
My first Dobie had the exact same amputation done on the same toe of the same foot for a different reason. She ended up with a raging infection in it and I had to give her antibiotic injections twice daily for a week. She healed up fine and it never affected her gait, but she was about 3 and Skittles is going to be 15 in 3 weeks. At least according to his made up birthday from his vet records.

Good evening Cafe. I've brought tea; Twinings English breakfast no less.
I've been completely ****** up by the clocks going back while nature carries on oblivious.

I seem to be spending a lot of time watching my overalls spin round in a washing machine trying to remove all the mud from my most recent full body contact with the ground. I'm making duck boards. My arse is sore!

It's been the season of birthdays and aniversaries. I've been eating out a bit. It's not something I usually do. It's a bit of a thing is this eating out. It's all usually well underway before my eldest informs me I'm going out to dinner on such and such a date. I turned up at one in my overalls thinking that might get me off a few on the list of forthcoming celebrations. Nope, nobody seemed to care.:D

Even in the dismal weather it's still enjoyable going to the allotments and spending a few hours with the chickens. We sit in the coop extension when the rain is hammering down.

I'm switching my flock over to Nutrena 18% grower crumble dry in the troughs and fermented feed mill blend 22% broiler mash in the bowl, 50/50 ratio. That will keep the protein content I've been feeding the same. Only I'm now saving over $21/100# of feed.
I already got a good indicator that the broiler mash has a better sugar content in it than the Flock Raiser because it was fermenting to beat the band. Twice it almost bubbled out of the container there was so much gas generation.

What the f*ck are d*ck boards?

Okay agree with Pert on that one never heard of D&ck boards?
