BYC Café

I did get invited to my youngests for Sunday dinner but it was going to be on the crowded side so I decided to take a walk along the Avon river on my way to the chickens instead. Despite being 15C the wind made the walk quite chilly.
I came back from the allotments on the slow bus. It goes right through the center of Bristol city. Despite it being Easter Sunday here the city was quite busy. Lots of eating places open as well as a few shops and this is at 8pm in the evening.

Three hours today. It was supposed to be warmer than yesterday but the wind got up and it was quite chilly by late afternoon. I got the door control unit working. A bit to do on the front ventilation. I've covered most of the old vent with the mounting board, plus the pop door is now shut at night. I also nee to put a strip in front of and along the bottom of the door runners to prevent noses and feet from lifting the door and squeezing under it.

Henry had a nice bath. I could hear him gurgling and clucking quietly away to himself as he rolled around while I worked in the coop run. A couple of the hens tried joining Henry but I think the soil is still a bit to damp for their tastes

I was still testing the door out when Henry came in to roost and I sat on the roost bar with the hens for a while.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

When I took DH on an errand run with me yesterday and dropped him back off to the facility around 1:00 it was BAU.

When I went to pick him up after dinner around 7:00 to go back to watch a movie at my sister's there was a new sign on the door stating all visitors must be masked and all visits needed to be the residents apartment. WTH?

When the aid got to the door she told me that someone had tested positive for Covid but visited anyway and got their loved one sick then they got some other residents sick. Now all the residents have to isolate in their apartments for 10 days!! There is nothing for him to do in his apartment but just sit there. No activities. No going for a walk in the halls (he likes to do that.) I will go today and ask if he can at least sit outside in the courtyard in the sun and fresh air.

How selfish does one have to be to intentionally go to a DEMENTIA ward knowing they have Covid?
