Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

Another beautiful day up on deck. After seeing the fish, it's all I can think about.
Yesterday the ammonia tested 0.25 and the nitrites were also 0.25 ppm. So safe for fish but I really want the numbers back down to 0 ppm before stocking about 25-33% of the fish load. The warmer the water gets, the faster the bio filter will grow and the more load it can handle.
I've got floating plants and more marginals coming tomorrow help with the nitrates.

It's not part of the master test kit. The plants should take care of it and the levels have to be really high to harm the fish.

Another blue sky clear day here in Halifax. So many Zoom meetings and lectures on the agenda so I think the day will slip away quite quickly. Feels like it should be the end of the week already!

Sunny day, supposed to get 'hot'(for me anyway) later.

Although the roosting/pecking order is somewhat fluid, I've noticed a significant change since that hen died....and last night one of my old ladies was perched on the porch at lock down last night. It wasn't fully dark yet, but she's usually one of the first up.
She seems fine, and I haven't noticed any lethargic behavior, but.......Hmmmm.

Good morning and thanks for the coffee!
When it starts raining later, it will continue for a few days. Flood watch!
I tilled the lower garden, split more of the neighbors wood, and then DH and I went hiking for 1.5 hours. He said that he was tired, but I was the one running the big tiller! Lol! I think tree dropping is on the list before the rains start.

They are ready to go in the ground.

Hubby ate the first ripe berry today. Planning to get more strawberry plants soon.
