Finally, the weather is warming up, but too late for all of my cucumber seedlings that just died off yesterday. I'll have to start anew.
I lost about 1/3 of my tomatoes and peppers, and all of my squash plants. Hit and miss which tomatoes and peppers, but the squash all gave up.

I went to the local farm stand and bought more plants. They aren't heirlooms, so I won't be saving the seeds from these.

3 of 4 loofas called it quits, oh well. One of the grapevines seems to have gone bye-bye too.

This is really frustrating, is it not?

This is the first year ever that my cucumbers died on me, never ever happened before. But at least the pumpkin and two of the zucchini are still alive.
I will try to get started seedlings next week and hope that they are not sold out by then.

Thanks for the coffee Orca.

We think mom has decided to leave much sooner than the doctors predicted. Likely within the next day or two. We all rallied around her last night and told her we love her and that dad is waiting for her and there is nothing to fear.

I am ever so grateful that I put my pain aside to reconnect with her before she leaves. We are both at peace with our relationship for what it is. She has told me multiple times that she loves me and that is all I really needed to hear. She's heard it from me many times over the last several days.

My feet were Maggie's 'safe place'. From the moment she came home she would sleep on my feet. Not bad when she was a 5 pound puppy, but at 70 pounds ------------- It's been 7 months, and I still miss her more than is reasonable.
Seems like i never get over missing my dogs that are no longer here.
