It's much better outside but still poor air quality. The dogs will not get run until this evening as the air quality alert is supposed to be lifted at 3:00.

I'd rather the smoke than the fire. I hope for all affected that the rains come and soon.

Nice and cool again, mid 40's, had to shut down most the windows last night.
Wish it could stay high 40's/ mid 70's all year around.
Thinks current broody has stopped ticking, after 72 hours she'll get out later today to see.

I spoke with the nurse today and DH is acting much better.

I think you know that UTIs can screw up people's heads. I don't know why.

Why do we all have one of those relatives?

So far I've been lucky. Older sister was executor of Mom's estate. 3 kids, divided equally, no squabbling at the round robin choosing of her personal belongings.

Younger sister is kinda on the outs though. Didn't invite our 2 step sisters to either daughter's weddings 13 and 17 years after mom died in 2003. We've known them about longer than we can remember and have be related to them since about 1968. Standard thing, both sets of kids stayed with their mother after the divorces so my step sisters lived with my dad much of their teen years and as adults always went to Dad and step-mother's house for holidays and vacations. Step mother passed in 2014 but the sisters still visit my Dad regularly. He considers them his children same as the 3 of us and it hurt him deeply that younger sister excluded them.

Especially bad given the older step sister had gotten married on a smallish harbor tour boat so very limited guest list and invited younger sister, DH and the girls. This was several years prior to the older niece getting married. Needless to say they weren't invited to the 10 year anniversary cruise on the same boat. Younger of 2 step sister's (a whole 24 days older than me) son got married 6 years ago, younger sister and family were invited. But they couldn't come because they were going to Hawaii ..... 2 weeks later it turns out.

DD1 is getting married in 2 months, everyone she is related to including my cousins and their kids have been invited to attend in person if they want or via the live feed. Younger sister and family haven't even responded other than the younger niece apparently asked for a digital invitation. Both step sisters and the younger one's DH are coming. Everyone lives in So. Cal except older niece (Colorado) and DD1 who now lives in Virginia, the wedding is at their house.

Yes and they didn't need to share! Gotta be really bad up there with everything burning.

We got rain starting late yesterday afternoon and through the night, kinda drizzly today and tomorrow so that should pull the smoke out of the sky for us. But looking at the radar, we are on the east edge of it, much worse where you are.

Texts going between DW, her sister (near Alexandria VA, she's a teacher) and DD1 further south in VA regarding air quality. SIL said they hit code red, AQI 188, all outdoor school activities/classes cancelled. We are down to 18 today after hitting 121 yesterday afternoon.

Morning Cafe. The smoke stayed in the upper atmosphere here.
I am sorry your all have deal with it.
We had it a couple years ago ended up with pneumonia.
Dont want to go there again.
