While it is true we have had a couple of unusually dry months the problem isn't the amount of rainfall, it's the lack of investment by the water supply and treatment companies in the infrastructure. Being private concerns the profits are given to the shareholders in preference to what needs the money.

Good morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee DL!

It's foggy and cool here - definitely humid as well. We had an amazing thunderstorm yesterday evening.

We are expecting thunderstorms today. I'll be at work. Bella was halfway up my butt yesterday when a thunderstorms skated nearby but didn't hit us. I'll have to leave the basement door open for her as a retreat.

I am very lucky that both my pups don't seem mind thunderstorms much. They grew up with the extreme winds and thunder is regular here, so it seems that they are fairly okay with those sorts of things - I won't say perfectly calm, but not showing much behavioural response.

My sister has been telling me how awful it is - that there is hardly any pasture for the livestock and certainly not good growth for silage and hay.... 😥

Yup it would have been a really good gift if FH didn't decide ( I seriously think he had help) NOT to have it there (it's in Wakefield (an hour away). We're going to have it up the street in a friends backyard. It's already small and the size is going to get even smaller once they put up their greenhouse and pool then on the day of it's going to be very limited space because of tents, tables and chairs plus the caterer set up. He also decided a DJ ($400) is too much yet the caterer is $1500-2000 plus he's paying for his older sister to come down (she can't stand me).
A little less than a year to the date and I'm already frustrated :barnie:thand stressed :smack:duc:hit:mad::eek:. Sorry for all the ranting and venting when y'all have enough on your plates already. I can say one thing for sure I'm not a BRIDEZILLA :lau like some.
Well, all of this should not frustate you, as the really important thing is to get married to the one you love.

Big receptions and DJ's and caterers and overpriced wedding dresses and all this stuff are absolutely not necessary for a happy marriage, this I can tell you from my own experience.

Enjoy a rather intimate get together with friends and family instead of worrying over unimportant trivialities.
