BYC Café

Cool, foggy, overcast here. Very humid, so no matter how warm/cool it is, I'll work up a sweat. Good for cleaning the pores. Drink water, sweat. Wash your body from the inside out.
I have never sweated so much in my life! My hair gets totally soaked every time i go outside, even after dark . Going to have to get rid of most if the chickens, too many chores.

Well, all of this should not frustate you, as the really important thing is to get married to the one you love.

Big receptions and DJ's and caterers and overpriced wedding dresses and all this stuff are absolutely not necessary for a happy marriage, this I can tell you from my own experience.

Enjoy a rather intimate get together with friends and family instead of worrying over unimportant trivialities.

I agree wholeheartly as I had a very small wedding and we've been married for 54 years.

Didn't you sing that song a couple years ago, and you did so.......then came the goats and back into chickens?
Well i got rid of all but about 20 chickens. Then i started hatching so i can replace them. Now i decided to get rid of all but the bantams. And feed excess roosters to the dogs, once i cook them. Hubby will dispatch them for me.
I have had the goats quite a while, but planned for only 6. Then i had a hard time selling the young ones. I kept two after i sold one of my adults. Also sold the 3 bucks that needed to go. Once i sell the 2 does that didn't sell, i will have 8 babies to sell. Then i will be back to 5 goats.

That is indeed a lot of animals to care for unless you are running a working farm.

I also downsized during the last few years from 185 to actually just 36 adults + this year's 25 chicks raised by their mother hens.
Plus our two Aidale Terriers.
That is more than enough to deal with.

No more horses, goats or sheep.
There is a time for everything...
