Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee.

I have decided to keep Astrid's two girls to replace Olivia and McKenzie. I am now more confident calling the dark one a girl. The pair is pushing 9 weeks old and still no bright red comb. They both have pea combs.
They are quite pretty little things but the dark one is super curious and always running up to me. I thought "Curious George" so Georgia popped into my head. Her sister is Savannah.
So now all 4 chicks that hatched this year have been named when I said I wasn't going to keep any of them. :D

🎼🎶🎵Chicken math ...chicken math... 🎵

Here it was integration day #1 for my three cockerels, high time as they will be 13 weeks on Sunday.

All went well: I let them join the main flock by midday and the big Amrock rooster went up to them, positioned himself in front of them looking them up and down and proceeded to crow them right in their face several times, leaving the youngsters duly impressed. :gig
Then he turned away breaking up some squabbles as his ladies are all rather crabby at the moment molting heavily and/or being broody for the umpteenth time.

Just now as it is time to go into the coop, the Amrock came out again looking for the three youngsters and after finding them he talked to them and started tidbitting for them every other step so they should come and join him walking back into the coop. And they did.

The only one starting to get nasty was one of the three momma hens that raised them, but the rooster immediately stopped her and and that was that.
