Yes. He can't pick up his head so I think that might be a factor. No one knows why he wants to get on the floor.
But I would imagine with his head always being in that position it would make him even more unstable. So he keeps falling and hitting his head.

They all free range, so it’s a possibility, but that’s a lot of (hatchery) chickens to all go broody and disappear at once. I had a little bantam hen that would wander off and do that a few years ago. Egg production has also suddenly dropped in half, but I’m thinking the heat is a major factor right now. And they will begin molting soon.
