BYC Café

Good morning and thanks for the coffee :caf

Still waiting for my pullets to gift me the first egg. But with dark grey skies and endless deluge for weeks now, they just don't feel like it which I totally understand.
So we still only get 1-3 eggs a day from the adult flock, but their moult seems to be coming to an end now.

Then we sat in the living room in front of the wood stove warming up and chatted non-stop for 2.5 hours.
I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and, mercy me, but that is one fine looking man! :drool

Not in a million years would I ever have guessed someone would catch my attention again the way DH did nearly 2 decades ago the way this guy has.
Sounds promising @DobieLover 👍

In NYS? Even after a settlement is reached and signed it takes many months before the court records it and issues the divorce decree. But that is just a legal formality. A mere piece of paper. They are already divorced in any real sense of the word. Have been for a very long time. They are only just now getting around to doing something about it but can't agree on anything in the settlement.

Raining here, all night and most the morning. At least it's not snow.
Glad I got the food runs done yesterday.
Got a list of indoor chores to open up enough space for one more person to habituate my cave for a day or two.<rollseyes>

From the weather radar we are in for a drowning rain today which is welcome for all the farm crops but the timing is bad for those traveling and out preparing for Thanksgiving. Hot Coffee is about ready here. If we get to the grocery store ok today there will me more fruit cake soon.

You can get through this.

I was counting down the days, then the hours to when we would leave FIL's place in Charlotte. Even the idea of a 14 hour car ride was preferable.

Thank you.
Am just hoping that we can find and enjoy some of the harmony we used to have.

I haven't been able to procure more wood chippings for the run and it's getting rather 'bare' so was worried it would turn into slickery muck with any moisture, but after a rather heavy rain last night it's still OK. Must be enough wood still in the soil.
It's not incompetent neglect, it's a science experiment!! :gig
