It's my fault for not putting the carcass in the garage can.
Given the fact that I know Jeter's weakness the garbage can incident was my fault. I've been moving it outside when we are not home. I neglected to do so yesterday. The crate destruction? That's on her. They go home on Sunday, and as much as we have enjoyed having them, I think the Princess realizes we don't need another dog.

Piper just threw up bile in my bed but still seems fine. She also came running back to the house from this mornings potty break with a stale dinner roll from the neighbors house. I think she's just hungry.
I'm still not going feed her...
I had a Sheltie on a diet, and I left the room after taking a baked chicken out of the oven. When I came back, I couldn't find the chicken or the pan. Turns out she ate the whole thing, dressing included. The pan was way in, back under the table. I called the vet. He said she was likely going to be OK, since she had the meat and dressing to cushion the bones in there.

Unless it's a really cute pup!

Hubby has cut down some looooong standing dead trees. Probably elm. They are dry as a bone, ready to burn. There's quite a stack of them, and another of big ones that need to be split. I'm feeling better about having enough wood for the season.

He's also cut down a bunch that will be for next year, and another big stack of stuff that needs splitting. We have a good start on 2024/25 wood now too.
