BYC Café

before the heat dome descends.
Got down to 54 last night
I had the screen door and three windows open with the bathroom fans running to help cool the house down. It did great and my house was about 60 this morning. I am going to have the A/C put in the window in my bedroom this weekend. It keeps the whole house comfortable.
But getting the mini-split installed is the next project on the list.
have a clucky
My setting clucky did well last night with several visitors while she was on the nest. I left her door open this morning. I'll go check on her and the eggs after my nap.

We cooled the house down with a fan blowing out upstairs, and the bedroom windows open downstairs. 67! Almost chilly feeling in here this morning.

Widget, my serial broody, finally has "cooled her jets," as my sister used to say. Maybe the cool night helped her too.

Gonna have grumpy hubby in the very near future as it gets hot and humid here. We have the room ac installed, so he can sit in front of it if he wants. If he gets too hard to deal with, I'll go work in the garden. Then I'll be as hot and miserable and grumpy as he is. But at least I'll have gotten work done in the garden.

I had this when I was working, had to get some good sleep and be able to shower and dress without the heat/sweat.
Gave it up a dozen years ago....too hard to get it installed(long story) and don't want to be trapped in one room.

The whole house fan can work great, downside can be that cool night time air is often heavily humid...which feels like shit when the temps rise the next day.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

It's 44 up on the hill this morning. I'll get the dogs down for at least 45 minutes to run around the paths of the field today. I can never make if very far before the pain in my leg/butt gets to be too unbearable.

Tomorrow the heat arrives. We'll hit 90 at least and we could crest over 100 later in the week.

I have an appointment with the PA for the second orthopedic surgeon I'm trying to get the injection with. The first one finally got the State form accepted as filled out correctly, but the doctor wouldn't provide an after hours number so the State won't expedite it. It would have only been for 3 days that there might POSSIBLY have been a phone call! And I have no idea if they provided all the supporting documentation that proves I did everything my insurance required for me to get the injection.

I'm going to explain to the new PA everything that happened, how long I've been waiting for proper treatment and try to get him/her to expedite the authorization. We'll go over every single thing that my insurance wants for authorization. I will get my doctors report notes on the sciatica pain, give the new doctor copies of the reports on my hip Xray, lumbar Xray and they'll have a copy of the MRI images and report as well as the number of weeks I was in PT. The new doctor is off the entire month of June so I'm going to try to get on the schedule ASAP, in the first week of July if possible. :fl:fl:fl

^^ @DobieLover, this is just such BS!

I just deleted my huge rant, as you know everything I wanted to say. It seems doctors don't provide care, and just don't care anymore.

I have a physical in July, and so far, my doc still seems to be actually caring about the care he provides. I hope he stays that way and doesn't retire any time soon. I am really dreading finding another doctor.
