Because of all the rain yesterday and the current temp, 85F, I'm focusing on indoor projects. I repotted 2 orchids, a lemon button fern, and a snow white waffle plant that were deeply discounted at Lowe's. I want to look for a antique plant stand to display them on.
I'm also focusing on laundry and house cleaning.

Our heat broke too (same heatwave as Aart). I have a lot to get done outside this week, but I plan to pace myself even though it's cooled off.

Another time suck is the Japanese Beetle hunting season has started. I caught 115 today. Chickie snack!

Cayuga had to be euthanized today.
Once again, I struggled to find someone with a .22 rifle to do the job.
The widow across the road got a friend of hers to do it. He was very nice. I gave each of them a dozen eggs.
HTG has a friend who is selling his rifle and I said I'd buy it.
If I'm going to keep chickens I need to be able to euthanize them myself when they need it. Not when someone can fit it into their own schedule.

Ya if you can buy one that would be a tool to have.
Of all my not nap talk layed down about one layed there till 3:30.
Seems I may have first year birds think they want to be broody.
